First edition, first printing of the Faber & Faber release of this very popular title. The book was originally released as a private pressing by Mount Publishing. Faber & Faber then re-released the book earlier this year as a paperback, and now it is being released in hardback format.
The copy for sale here is the UK Hardback "Special Edition", of which apparently 10-15,000 are being printed. Apparently there is an extra chapter included at the end of the book - for those of you who read the paperback you would probably have noticed that it seemed to end very abruptly - well the reason for this appears to be that the author could not afford to publish the final chapter, so crammed the ending into a single chapter. Whether this is true or not I cannot confirm, but it does make sense that the ending should have been longer.
